Every part of this Grand America Hotel wedding was thoughtful and elegant, from its venue to its color scheme. Photographing Kate and Gage’s day was a true pleasure.
The overall aesthetic of this gorgeous Grand America Hotel wedding took inspiration from British royal weddings. You can see it in the restrained glamor and the neutral color palette, which drew on the Grand America Hotel’s white facade and pale tones to create an ethereal, elegant event. Kate and Gage chose to let the architecture of the Hotel really shine, choosing soft white floral arrangements that accented the clean lines of the building. With all the bouquets in white and the bridesmaids in cream and champagne shades, this Grand America Hotel wedding radiated a gentle elegance.
Kate’s wedding dress was an exercise in refined simplicity, with long sleeves, a classic neckline, and button details. She accessorized with pearls and slipped on the most fabulous wedding shoes – a white heeled sandal with playfully huge bows. They were hidden by her skirt for most of the day, but when she changed into her dancing dress at the end of the evening, the shoes were the perfect playful finishing touch.
Having the reception in the Hotel courtyard, with the towering facade overhead and the trees and flowers of the gardens framing the scene, was a lovely way to finish the day. The ambient lighting of the string lights overhead created such a dreamy atmosphere, and the live band made sure that everyone ended up on the dancefloor. What a beautiful evening!
